Stevan Alburty is an award-winning author and technology consultant.

His feature stories have appeared in Fast Company, one of the hottest new business magazines in the country. His commentaries on business and technology have also appeared in Upside ,The New York Times and newspapers throughout the country through Universal Press Syndicate. He has also been a monthly columnist for The Net magazine.

For 17 years, Stevan Alburty was the Director of Information Systems for Chiat/Day Advertising, one of the legendary names in the marketing industry. It was Chiat/Day that launched Apple Computer's Macintosh in 1984 with a single 60-second spot that is still considered to be one of the most effective television commercials in history.

Mr. Alburty also designed the technology infrastructure used by Chiat/Day for its boldly experimental "Virtual Office," a deskless, paperless office environment which received national media attention.

He is also a popular international lecturer, receiving top response ratings at conferences for Web99, The Food Marketing Institute (U.S. and Asia); Digital World, Internet World, Seybold, the Fraunhofer Institut (Stuttgart), Stichting Marketing Conference (Belgium), and Universidad Santa Maria La Antigua (Panama.)

Mr. Alburty is also a technology consultant, helping companies develop strategies for the use of the Internet for electronic commerce and customer service, as well as internally for information distribution, electronic workflow and the creation of online corporate communities. His clients have included Gateway Computers, MCI, Calvin Klein, and a number of advertising agencies, including BDDP, Ogilvy Mather, Lowe & Partners/SMS and J. Walter Thompson.
